Electrical problems
I replaced the controlls on the door, no help. Switched the controll box with passnger side one, same results. Anybody have any guesses as to what is causing these problems?
When you press the door lock buttons, do you hear a click or "shuush" sound, but the mechanism doesn't move. If you hear action, it is likely bad relays in the DCM module, or sticky lock actuator. Test driver's door controls and report driver's door sounds ("local" controls). Repeat tests from passenger door controls, too.
"Remote" control problems (driver's controls won't actuate passenger door actions, or vice versa) is usually a serial bus fault with exposed wires in the door accordian. Likely the root cause of the passenger mirror inoperability. Or did you not swap the DCM modules back?
Window motors can be debugged with a voltmeter. Unplug the 2-wire harness and measure. If you get +/- 12V when pressing up/down but the motor doesn't move, problem found.
