Default Rear end ratio

Pardon my ignorance but is there a way to determine the rear end ratio
through code numbers or something.

Assuming it's stock you will have either a 2.73 (std) or 3.15(performance) axle gear ratio. If you car is equipped with the performance axle, it will indicate option code RPO G92 in the service parts ID sticker located on the inner surface of the glove box door.

......of course this only applies if the OP is the original owner, and knows without a doubt, that the rear end has not been changed/modified.

Go drive 75 mph in 3rd gear, if you see 2700rpm, its a 273, 3100rpm, its a 315. I think...
