Default Memory Seat acting up...Anyone else...

I have the "easy out" activated and when I unlock the doors, with the correct remote, and put the key in, my seats, mirrors, nor steering wheel will move to my memory position. The worst thing is the power seat will also not function manually. It does not happen all the time and sometimes the mirrors will move and nothing else. It happens with both remotes and memory positions. When the car is started the memory light on the door will just blink for about 30 sec. I can usually get it to work after I lock and unlock the car a few times or leave it running for a while. Took it to the dealer and it wont act up.....Its still at the dealer hoping someone else has had this problem.

I had similar experiences with mine, and after three trips to the dealership, it finally behaved by misbehaving and rammed the mechanic's knees into the dashboard like it did to me all the time. The replaced the whole control module and I haven't had any problems since. I have noticed that unlocking the door with one dongle and inserting the other dongle key will make it do weird things occasionally though, nothing reproducible though as far as I can tell.

Mine does that too. The seat either doesn't go where I programmed it or does move at all. Also the blinking light is not working correctly. I've had both my door control modules and keypads replaced once, and my pcm. I'm out of warranty now. Damn computers!!! :cuss

The memory will only work if you shut the door BEFORE you insert the key in the ignition.
Exit the car by removing key first , then open door and get out.

Hope this helps

It does it weather I shut the door first or key in first. It does not matter if u put the key in b/4 u shut the door the memory should work as long as the door is shut. Anyway glad to see somone else has this problem so I can show my advisor.

I've had problems as well. Light blinks for 30 seconds or so and then I may get a single loud click from behind the door panel. Sometimes the seat moves to an odd setting. I may get the click for days in a row and then not for weeks.
