Default Vert lowered; rubber bottom spoiler

My vert has been lowered about an 1.5" both front and rear +/- .25" either way.

Love the look but can't stand that rubber spoiler under the car when I look at it. Would like to remove. Will it affect my driving characteristics?

Don't race but love to floor it in first and second gear when there is open road in front of me.

Don't want to add a carbon spoiler because I'm already scraping the ground coming out of my driveway

Thank you.

The only spoiler you really need is the middle one which helps to deflect air up to the radiator for cooling.

The ones on the sides are inexpensive and easy to replace. I would suggest you either use a utility knife and clean up the ones you have that look all scraped up or maybe buy a couple of new ones and cut them down a bit so they will be seen and not heard.

If you remove it you will be running much hotter than normal at speed. Maybe overheating...

That "rubber spoiler" is an air dam designed to direct cool air flowing from under the car up through your radiator. Some people have "shaved" them and retained their cooling functionality. You could try that but you might consider having a spare around before you do it. There was a forum vendor advertising those pieces for pretty cheap recently...

THANK YOU. I'll remove both sides and just keep the center piece on.

I just cut mine even with the "skid bars". No difference in cooling but they never scrape anymore. I took the sides off completely eventually.
