Default LPE question

I was looking over LPE's packages and notice the 383 package is about the smae cost as the 550TT. Looks like for the $$, the 550TT is a better overall deal than the 383. The 550TT might have more "practical" hp as well. Anyone care to give their opinions between the two? Anyone have personal experience with both packages?

Thanks,
Scott

I have recently gotten a 550TT ...

I think that either will be good but if depends on what you want ... if you like Naturally Aspirated then the 383 is better for you . Plus you have to think about warranty issues ... since you live nearby it should not be a problem ... but Turbos if they get damaged ... will need to be fixed by LPE ... I dont live that far ... so I got the TT ...

Personally I think that the TT will give you a more stock like feel until you mash the gas .... but you have to decide yourself ... but if it says LPE on it ... then either will be perfect ... just depends on what you want ... or need ... I like the Turbos because my buddies and I love Force Induction cars ... so I got a TT ....

There both great and the stock bottom end can handle more boost.Go with the TT and when your warranty is up take it to a *** shop or LPE and turn the boost to 8-9 Lbs. and youll jump another 100 ponnies or so.The TT motor is very linear builds boost low and you dont have to worry about needing a turbo. If a silicon pipe rips which can happen if you lower the car alot
LPE will send you a New piece 5-10 minute install its all very simple under there once you study it.Dave S.

I have the LPE 383 01 Z06, i use the car mostly at the track, so going with the LPE TT would add extra wieght, i am not sure 100 lb, but the TT passes emission, i think the TT makes more power. I am very very happy with my 383, the car is smooth, makes good power everyware, it has the GT2 cam which sometimes gives a little lope at idle 790 to 800, which i will get them to raise, and get rid of it.
