I would think you would need some serious amps to move enough air to make a diff. After all, doesn't a engine driven sc eat a lot of hp?

Agreed. That's why I said if you had an extra battery, wiring of course and some way of recharging the massive loss of electricity if you turned it on, it would work...assuming you had a serious electric motor and compressor. Now tuning it would be a nightmare because it would be near instantaneous compressed fuel/air coming in as opposed to fast gradual increase. "Gradual" as in within a seconds or so for a normal one instead of from off to full blast in half a second with an electric motor.

Last time I played with the numbers, a supercharger @ 6-7 psi of boost stole about 18HP from the engine-go look at an 18hp electric motor (size and power requirements).

Oh I agree with you totally.. it would take a lot of electric motor and power to run it. Again, its still possible if someone wanted to do it bad enough.

From the OP's bio:

Wow!, I never expected such a response from a simple question. I have worked and driven in many different forms of racing and I had never seen one of these things before and just wondered if anyone had ever tried one. Stranger things have happened. Just so you know I'm not an idiot(or maybe because I am one)... my old beater 1985 C4 stock block L98 track day car ran 2:47's at Road America on street tires. Google it,(yes, I know what Google is and how to use it) you'll see I went faster than many cars costing way more than mine. As for my wing...I know lots of people don't like wings but I think the Greenwood G5R wing is cool. I installed it purely for looks and believe it or not I get a lot of compliments. You guys always say to each his own, right?
