I'm checking out their stage II heads&cam package. Please let know if you have them on your car or knowing someone else that has it. I would love to get a hold of the dynograph for this package.
Shouldn't the title say "Katech heads package" then? :p:
I doubt that there are any one out there running Katech heads and MTI T1 cam combination. That's why I made this post a little broad for the benefit of everyone. :D
Tuan- I'm not familiar with Katech parts yet but why not go with a set of MTI heads? They perform very well and are local for support purposes.
I can't afford them at $2800 a set. :cry :cry :cry
I know they are putting out good & consistent numbers. And maybe their heads are better than others out there. But in my (broke-a.ss) book, I do not think they are $1000 better.
Buy THESE and have them ported and you'll can probably beat the Katech price.....just a thought from another low budget minded comrade:D
Thanks for the tip.
I am working out all the details with another forum member right now. I may end up buying his new Katech stage II heads for almost half the price of MTI heads.
A friend has heads from http://www.racenet.net and they are local to you. He used a CompCam's grind in his Z28. The car went 11.6 NA So they are making power.
Was was his MPH? And what type of tires was he running on? Street tires, drag radials, or slicks? Many people have ran high 11.9x's on street tires with heads&cam setup. I would like to find out if his 3-tenth is from the motor or just better tires.

I think he was on ET Streets but not 100% sure. MPH was 119 check the e-mail in his profile or IM him. He is a very helpful guy in the local f-body club.
