Default AC Clutch not engaging

So today I was coming back from a 250 miles trip.

I passed a car and you know how the AC seems to cut off as you accelerate hard well when I came around the AC never switched back on.

The compressor was def no working because you could feel the humidity very strong in the car and the windows started fogging up.

I came home and as you touch the AC button, you cannot hear the compressor click on, the light on dash lights up.

I go and look and the compressor clutch is not engaging. I take a screw driver and tap the clutch and it starts working and everything is working perfect.

I read something about a gap on the compressor?
Anyone know how to check this or fix it? Does this sound like what happened today?

Anyone else had this problem?

Thanks.

mine had an issue like that and we discovered a loose wire near the plug...no idea why tapping the clutch caused it to work

From the Manual.
----------------------------------------

Place a feeler gage between the clutch plate and the clutch rotor.

Important
Make sure that the air gap is even all around the clutch plate and hub assembly.

Tighten the hex portion of the J 33013-B until the air gap between the clutch plate and clutch rotor is 0.40 mm (0.015 in).
