Default threw a code

Car information: 02 zo6 30k miles stock.
Just changed vavlesprings about 500 miles ago.

Threw code C1214
Sol valve relay contact or coil ckt open

Just drove car again and nothing. Car drives fine but it is to do with traction control system. Is this a horrer story or easy fix

Perhaps inputting C1214 into the search function will precipitate answers.

EBCM relay-common problem. Do an ADVANCED SEARCH. This IS the issue absfixer takes care of. It's a $2 relay that's the culprit or the solder joints connecting it.

OR it is the relay and replacement of the BPMV as well. Have to test the BPMV motor with a DVM to see if the motor windings are shorted to the case or have a high resistance short to the case. If either of those two conditions exist then you have to repair the relay and replace the BPMV. If the BPMV requires replacement and you don't do it the fault will come back since the new relay will burn out as well.

I am going to hope for the best now. I didn't state that the car threw the code while the traction control should have actually engaged. It was raining and I was going around a sharp corner. Not that I was out of control but you could feel some left rear slippage.

Also I did just have my valvesprings changed recently so there might be a loose wire.

I am anticipating the code to come back but we will see, I could get lucky or it could come on in 10 minutes. I am going to do some research on how to test the BPMV because if I get the code again I am going to start pulling things apart right away.

Thanks for the help thus far.

C1214 is a relay inside the EBCM. As suggested, check your wiring to the EBCM and BPMV. Go to absfixer.com for more info and for pricing on repairing the module if it has indeed failed. If you can solder electrical components there's a DIY for the repair on this board...
