Really weird Traction control/throttle issue. HELP
I have an issue that is kinda like the tcs isnt shutting off, but it is. here is what it is doing. When I go WOT and power shift the car I know tcs is off because it will eat the tires off, but then sometimes the following things will happen randomly and in no particular order.
1. Check engine light flashes, NO codes in DIC under pcm.
2. Feels like throttle is at 75% then all the sudden it will come alive, all the while I have the pedal mashed.
Im wondering if #2 has something to do with tcs? it kinds feels like tcs does when it pulls the throttle. any help is appreciated...

A flashing check engine light is consistent with a misfire. Start checking the obvious stuff.
found a couple wires arching in the dark, so im sure thats the source of the flashing ses. now to figure out whats up with the throttle issue....
What am I missing?? You have two wires arching, which leads to a misfire(loss of power), and you feel that issue was not significant enough to cause a problem?

No im sure that is what is causing the flashing ses. but it would be odd for a couple plug wires to cause a loss in power and then instantly give power back....there are two separate issues. the loss of power feels just like traction control, but the tcs is set to off,

You're kidding right? That's classic behavior for arcing wires.

well we will see, New wires will be in tomorrow. doesnt do loss of power all the time, its very intermitten and does it in one gear and not another. I think its a throttle issue it feels exactly like tcs. now the flashing ses would be a miss fire. its like the car is cutting the throttle back, not a loss of power via misfire which has a different feeling.

replaced the wires, that fixed the arching issues. It is still missing after a power shift. like multiples on 3 cylinders. 30 to 70 misfires on the three that are missing in a high rpm powershift from 2 to 3 in my m6 vette. Does not miss until AFTER shift.....Very odd
well after datalogging it and moving coils around, I found that the cylinders that miss are random. so that pretty much rules out electrical stuff. Im beginning to think that this might be a clogged fuel filter, after sucking up all the fuel for the wot run I shift and theres a shortage on fuel and it misses. spark plugs look great, and it only missed twice today out of 12 WOT runs. But when it does it two random cylinders will have 20-70 misfire events. and some of the others will have under 10
My car is doing something similar when I power **** 1-2 or 2-3 I get the traction message and it cuts almost all the power even when it dead hooks. Havnt tried it with the traction control off yet. If I keep my foot in it the car just maintains its current speed even if I shift the the next gear quickly, if I push the clutch in slowly and let it out slow it goes back to normal. Need to work on it soon almost cost me a loss vs a c6 on the highway.

Your spinning the tires and not feeling it, turn of tcs and see what happens.
