Default 420 gear change

Considering a local speed shop to change the gears in my 2000 6 speed vert.

Any forum vendors that I can contact for "quality" ring and pinion gears.

This shop keeps asking me the name of the manufacture of these gears. Claim inferior ones will create noise.

I did get one quote for $400.00 for the set (ring and pinion) but did not ask the name of the manufacture.

Thank you.

You could probably get them from RKT56. They are THEE go-to for transmissions and rear-ends.

Go with RPM or DTE and have it rebuilt by the pros in my opinion. If your local speed shop doesn't even know the name of potential gear manufacturers then would you really trust them to know how to set it up properly?

There are many different options you could possibly do depending on what it is you are planning on doing with the car. If you have any questions you want to know please feel free to write a private message on here or give us a call.

Thank You,
