So my C5 50th didn't start up for me yesterday, thought it was the battery. Took the truck into town, got one, stuck it in and it started right up. Drove vette to the gas station and when i tried to start it up, again wouldn't start. So...I waited 20 minutes and tried again and it cranked right up like a champ. Has the starter gone bad?
I don't how to replace one, can anyone suggest a good place to take my C5 in the Dallas, TX area that doesn't overcharge too badly? (or at least a quality mechanic that won't screw it up) hah. Thanks guys!
You could have loose connections.
You could just need to rebuild the ignition switch; possible burned contacts (easy 30 min job).
Other possibilities..
Read through and you might be able to fix your problem without having to dish out any cash!

The FIRST step, is pull your codes. Post ALL codes:
Could be several things besides your starter including your ignition switch... Also, if it is the starter it's probably just the starter solenoid that's gone bad...
