Default Headlight adjustment help

I installed an HID kit in my 03. The bulbs are well seated and come on as they should but I can't seem to get them adjusted right. The right one seems fine but the drivers side is another story. When the low beams are on it seems to be shining about 5 feet in front of the car. I adjusted the height up and then when I got the headlight up to where it seemed to be the same height as the right side the hi beam was looking for owls in the trees. Am I missing something? Is there something that adjusts the low beam height separate from the hi beam?
HELP!!!!

i'm assuming they're factory housings?
if so, you adjust the entire unit as one piece. proper procedure says to aim the lows & the highs should be fine. now on to your situation, it sounds like the bulb ain't straight. are you absolutely sure that all 3 alignment tabs on the bulb are locked under the retainer ring? if so, pull the bulb out & make sure the bulb is straight in the base & not leaning to one side.

also make sure you have the correct bulb (matching the passenger side). sometimes, people put the wrong things in boxes by accident

Default HIDs

I have an HID set-up with the same problem. The high-beams are useless. This is common and with HIDs, you shouldn't need high-beams.

Are your housings stock?

Once upon a time , when I installed my ACA HID kit I recall I had to snap/grind off a rib in the stock headlight housing frame for the HID housing to properly fit. I recall if that wasn't removed the high beams would "owl hunt".

Just my $0.02.
