I don't get to drive the car much hence the 40,000 orginal miles. This car has been babyied since I got her. This problem is driving me nuts!!
I have been working on and around vettes for years. The Battery is NEW and it's always on a battery tender year round.
STILL LOOKING... what is still wierd is that if you drive the car for around 15 mins then stop and restart her the problem goes away until it's left overnight. Then it re-appears. AGUGHhhhhh!!!
What clued me into the door was one day when my dash was acting up, I had stopped the car and was getting out while the engine was running. As soon as the door was fully open, the dash problem went away. That is why I started to search on the forum for a cure. I too could shut off the car and restart to clear the problem temporarily.
Give it a try. It only takes a half hour at most.

Anyway I re-started the car the problem vanished again. I am not sure if it's because the engines is up to Temperature or I accidentaly
moved something. Will have to wait till it cools to cold before another try. I also checked all the fuses on passenger side only found one 10 amp fuse blown. Replaced it checked the ones topside. all ok.. anyway.. I will keep everyone updated.
By the time I re-started it about 30 mins ago. The problem was gone for the moment.. when it's cool I will know the truth...

99 Corvette Convertible Fully Loaded all options DASH gone nuts!!!

Ok here is what I have done today. I drove the car till the symptoms went away. After it warmed up all returns to normal.
Finally got past the NO COMM messages.. FOUND A TON OF CODES
how many are relevant who knows.
Here is a List 10-PCM P1626H P1689H
28-TCS C 1255H C 1276H U1016H
38 RTD returned NO CODES
40 BCM U-1255H U-1096H U1016H
58 U-1000H U-1016H U1040H U1096H
60 IPC U-1255 U 1016H U-1160 U-1088H
80 Radio U-1064 U 1096H U 1016H
99 HVAC U-1064H U-1096H U 1160H
A0-LDCM U 1255 H U1064H U1016H U1096H
A1- RDCM exactly the same codes as the A0
A6-SCM U1160H U1016H U1064H
BO-RFA U 1255H U1096H U1064H U1016H
C 2110H
after writing all of this down and posting it here I have erased everything and now will go drive the car to see what current codes will set.
Anyway I have never been in there in all the years I have owned this car.. perhaps that's why there are so many?
Took door door accordian tubes both sides connectors apart checked everything.. Cleaned ( even though they did not appear to need it.) Reassembled.
Removed battery tray NO ACID or corrosion anywhere ..in fact it's so clean you could eat off that area. Checked all fuses inside and outside car.. only one found bad... Engine hood light .
Unplugged and re-plugged the On-board Body Computer ... checked... ultra clean No corrosion anywhere... This car is Garaged and has only seen 2 rainstorms in it's entire life. It has only 40,000 original miles on it.
It's in the middle of TEXAS.. no salt air! Well that's it in a nutshell.. Still no answer as to why??

While looking for another ground pak behind the battery I decided for whatever reason to pull the fuse panel in the engine compartment. After I removed it I noticed a wire loom was squished behind the bottom bolt and the lower plastic mount. The wires were exposed and shorting out on the bolt. After repairing several connections putting the fuse panel back making sure nothing was caught between the bottom and that bolt.
Fired up the car and all is perfect!!! A frayed wiring harness was all that was to blame. Now my vette works perfect and sets no codes!!! ALL IS WELL IN THE KINGDOM.. much thanks to Bill Curlee for all his advice and keeping me focused. It was a long search turned out a simple fix no bad modules or parts nessary!!!
