I have just installed a hurst shifter in my 2000 FRC MN6 and can't get it into reverse. Everything else works fine. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. I have a feeling it has to do with the shift rod, but I'm not sure. I don't want to have to reinstall the stock unit for the weekend, but Hurst tech services is closed until Monday, so any help will be appreciated.
Do you have the adjustable stops set? They're not required w/ the B-W T56, that trans already has them built in. The stop may be what's preventing it. Try removing them and see if it fixes your problem. I know that one of the nuts popped off of Patches shifter and he wasn't able to shift. Just an idea.

I assume your problem occurs with the engine running...I say this because with the engine off, my MN6 reverse shift is disabled.
