Tinny poping sound

Tinny poping sound
When I first start 2000 in morning, I get a poping sound when I start going down the road, Its a tinny metal sound like a bolt is being dragged under my seat.
It does not do it at idle or reving in park, Only when I start driving. After about 5 min it goes away. I checked under the car and there seems to be nothing hung up or loose.
I thought maybe cats have a loose piece floating around in there but would'nt it do it while reving in park or neutral.
I dont have much hair so I cant afford to pull too much out!
PS No mods or any work done lately But the starter does stick engaged sometime and I shut it down right away and restart, New starter coming next week or so

Small bag of Jiffy Pop popcorn in the engine compartment....
Sorry could not resist.......................I have a similar type of sound and was told it's injector noise. Goes away. Whats your mileage on the car?
Mine has 21,000.

Being from the location you stated, it could be the catalytic converter going, they make a tinny, BB shot type sound then after it warms up it goes away. I would check that before you get an actual clog and possible reduced power.........
