On my 2000 FRC the turn-signals work/don't work intermittenly. It affects left/right at the same time. No rhyme nor reason that I can determine as to when it happens. The 4-ways always work. No other electrical issues.

I replaced my hazard switch when I was having that issue. Has not returned since. If it is your multifunction switch on the column, it is more money and harder to replace.
Cycle your hazzards when it happens and see if they start working again.
It's most likely the hazard switch which has the flasher built-in.
You typically have the signals on different corners acting up if it is the turn signal switch.
I suggest you just bypass the hazard with a standard flasher. Costs all of about $10. Look in the Ultimate DIY sticky at the top of this forum for instructions on how.
