Ever since I have traded my stock clutch for an aluminum Fidanza flywheel and Centreforce clutch I get this bad noise when I let the clutch out ,it sounds like a bad screeching noise very noticeable.I am not sure if it is the release bearing or something else.Has anybody heard of any problems with the lighter flywheel and a dual friction clutch ?The sound is only when you release the clutch in first gear only..Any help is appreciated
I get some of that but only if I haven't driven it in a while and I try and really ease into first gear. I have full bolt ons and a Diamond stage 2 clutch with lw flywheel.
I've noticed that if the sound happens and I'm able to do a couple of high rpm shifts that it will go away for quite a while. I don't think it's a big deal. Pretty sure it's just some chatter. Also, I had to learn to give the car a little more throttle when taking off with the lw flywheel.
Hope that helps.
