Default Difference between heads?

Differences between stock 243 heads and Patriot stage II. Is it worth $1300 for the patriots?

Patriot heads are CNC ported 243 castings........which will provide 20+ hp increase depending on the combustion chamber size. I think they're worth it

A good friend here has run bottom 11's with the Patriots. I think they are part number 2027? They make a few variations.

Thanks guys. I am looking at the 64cc (stock) chamber that provides a compression ratio of 10.5. So basically it comes down to the difference between ported and non-ported 243 heads, right?

Good questions for Patriot. I called them last year to inquire about a few things..........and found them very helpful.

The stock 243 (LS6) heads have a intake runner of 210 cc's--I think a
LS1 head is only 190---The patriot ported LS6 head has an intake runner of 227 cc's

The stage II heads have 2.02/1.57" valve size, their very good dual springs & titanium retainers. Here is the before and after charts on my Patriots with a 59cc chamber. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1563124671-post18.html Picked mine up used for $800. Very well worth it to me.

your static comp. ratio would be 10.74 with a .051 gasket, 11.04 with a .040 gasket
