Default DIC Questions!

I appreciate any advice Forum Members can give me.

I have a '99 Z51 vert that I bought from the original owner in 2007 with less than 20,000 miles. It now has about 47,000 miles. The car has been a real joy and has been pretty much trouble free until now when several issues have just arisen.

First, my DIC has all of a sudden been flashing: (1) Service active handling and (2) Service traction system. The alerts disappear when I punch the reset button a couple of times, but later reappear after I have been driving for awhile. Second, I also got today on the DIC another alert, "Service tire monitor system". I checked my guage button and it appears the left rear monitor is not working as it says PSI xxx, with the other monitors properly registering tire pressure. I replaced the original tire monitors with new monitors when I put new rubber on the car in 2008.

Any recommendations on the service handling and service traction system alerts? Is this something I need to have addressed at a dealership?

What about the tire monitor alert. Does it mean I need to replace that monitor or is there a fix?

Many thanks!

Have you tried to retrieve the codes yet?

Codes will tell the tale as such and the code display is built into the DIC so no need for a code reader.
