steering lock problem
Please could someone help me in this matter, i bought this car used and had nothing but problems, no engine or tranny problems thank god, but just these minor querks. Is this problem under recall for 97's? Can you send me a link or web address to purchase a steering wheel lock bypass kit. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Please help!!! My faith in american cars is dwindling this is my first. I have owned nothing but foriegn vehicles and never had a problem nothing like this. Why did GM design something so screwed up, i cant be the only one with this problem. :confused:

Unfortunately, I believe they have stopped making the CL Bypass. Some places may still have some in stock though.
There was finally a recall on the column lock but it was only for certain numbers of VIN ranges. They may have finally extended that to all Vettes. Check with you local dealer.

I would think your car was/is covered under either the recall or the TSB.

At far as the bypass, there are rumors that LAPD ( a vendor on this forum) still has some.
