Default Headlight Problems, can any one help???

I have a C5, it has 150 thousand on it, had a problem with the left headlight not coming up when the lights were turned on, ok, I read the forums, I ruled out the gear problems, the motor works, ok, I read the manuals, I am told that the headlight control module is the problem, ok, I get another one, install it acording to manual, now, here is the good part, turn the lights on, the right light comes up and the left stays down, turn the lights off, the right goes down and light goes off, now the left comes up, they work just backwards.

I have cleaned all frame grounds, ohmed out the circuits, all is as it should be, I have taken apart both headlights completely and put them back togther, reversed all the bumpers, worked 8 hours on trying to get the lights to open together, normally!!

Just quit for the night, I hope their is someone out their that can tell me what is happening here, FYI, I have worked on C3's for many years,
and I just had to have a C5, and when I get this problem fixed, it will be sold, I am going back to the C3's

Help!!!!

Where did you get your new control module?

Turn your driver said headlight **** a few times your 180 out. I had the same issues awhile back when I got my new control module. It'a just out of synch.

Did you get this sorted out?

It happened to me both times i've swapped out the gears in my lights.
You will need flip the floppy elbow section connected to the arm the pushes the light up and down. It has a slotted hole that you threaded the nut on attached to the motor assembly.

1 - Take the nut off that is connected to the motor shaft.

2 - Pull the light flipping arm off, rotate it 180 degrees

3 - Re attach nut

4 - Test, should be good as need.

The little white plastic "stops" might be worn out. Happened to me twice now!

Hang tough Mr. Brownfeather. These issues on C5 are common and lots of people here on the forum will help you. Don't get discouraged!!! The C5 is a wonderful machine. Just ask anyone here! C3 is great too but not the technical marvel that the C5 is. Good Luck.

Yep, because the headlights on a C3 never malfunction
