Purchased powder coated brake brackets. Removed the old and as I began to insert the pins they will not slide all the way into the new brackets. And I thought the hard would be removing the 21mil bolts. Anyone else have this issue and is there a solution?

Did you chase the holes to ensure there is no paint build up?
Yes, I used a small piece of heavy gauge wire and a flash light. Laid the old and new one side by side it is clearly shallow. I scraped it around a bit and it's not paint down there but metal.
Interesting thing is this one bracket is the only one with this problem, the other three are fine. It is a full half inch off. I checked the part numbers and they match the existing so this is perplexing. I'm going to mail it back with the cores and ask them to send me a new one with the correct depth guide bolt ports.
To close this I want to thank Mike at POWDERCOATING. As it turns out the bracket the other vendor sent was a pre-2000, which contains guide holes roughly a half inch shallower than those following that year. He offered to send me one with the calipers he is doing for me.
