Corvette message when car starts
Why does my car sometimes tell me "Corvette" on the display when I start the car and other times it will be blank? Is there a way to get it to always come up? I see it all the time on C6 corvettes. They say corvette by Chevrolet.

Try closing the door before you put the key in and see if you get the Corvette by Chevrolet. It's already programmed in from the factory. I think it says door ajar if you put the key in and turn on the ignition first, and by then it's too late for the Corvette message. I'm working from memory here, but there is a difference.
PS. That wasn't it. I just went out and tried it on my 03. The Corvette by Chevrolet came up no matter what the timing on the door. As soon as I turn on the key, door open, door closed, the message appears for about 2 seconds, then goes to the default setting I have in the DIC ( in my case the mileage). Of course with the door open it goes to door ajar after the Corvette by Chevrolet.
