The 50th AEs were LS1s. However, the late production cars were built with LS6 blocks, LS6 exhaust manifolds, and LS6 intake manifolds. They were still rated at 350 HP.
You can go over to the 50th AE website and verify or take my word for it. I know, I have one that I've owned from day 1.

I just bought one, where might that website be? I would like to learn more of my specific vehicle.

If it is a true AE vehicle, you have an LS1 engine
And all 2001 & up LS1's are basically LS6's minus heads and cam.
Believe it was LATE year production when it went to the same block. I have the LS6 block and intake as it arrived from GM in my late June production 2001 Coupe.
Heads, cam, exhaust are the differences on the late year 2001.
