Default Tire Choice - Replacing Run-Flats

I searched for an hour and read many past threads on tires, but I need some up to date advice on which tires to get for my newly purchased 2000 Coupe.

I want to get non run-flat tires to replace the original run flats that are on my C5. I have 5-spoke polished aluminum wheels which I assume are the originals. The tires are 275 40 ZR18 rear and 245 45 ZR 17 front.

I will be driving year-round but not in the snow and only occasionally in the rain. I'd like to get as much performance as I can without getting something that's going to last less than 20K miles. From reading past threads it would seem GS-D3s would likely be my best choice but comments seem to indicate they are maybe not available in the correct sizes any more? I don't want to change my wheels, or buy a size that's not correct for the wheels I have. Also I'd be interested in hearing about any alternatives that are just as good as the GS-D3s at a lower cost.

Please advise!

Thanks

You can do much better then GS-D3 and save some bucks in the process.
The more popular replacement are Michelin Pilot Sports, Toyo Proxies, Hankook ventus v12, Kumho Ecsta, just to name a couple!

When I bought my 2000 'Vert last year, it came with 245/45R17 Goodyear Eagle GTs on the front and 295/35R18 Michelin Pilot Sports on the rear from the previous owner. When the time comes to replace them I'm considering the Hancook Ventus V12 evo K110, the Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500, and the General G-MAX AS-03 in stock sizes, or possibly going to larger rears and playing around with the sizes so the % difference between front and rear diameters keeps the TCS computer happy. Also considering a bit sticker tires such as Dunlop Star Specs in 275/35R18 rears with 245/40R17 fronts (front diameter 3.5% smaller than rears, stock is 3.8%)
