Okay, so it's started displaying the message that the selective ride control needs to be serviced, the code displays that it's 'Out of Range'. I opened the center console and popped out the switch and took some pictures of the wiring and I was wondering if someone could tell me if there is or isn't a problem with the wiring or if not, what exactly the code is trying to say is wrong so I can fix it.
Okay, in this first picture, you will notice the brown/white stripe wire is not connected even though it clearly has a spot in the connecter for the switch, and also the orange wire is tied off. Are these wires supposed to be 'dead ends'?
In this second picture I'm wondering what is the brown/white stripe wire running into and is it supposed to be connected to the brown/white stripe wire from the first picture?
Just curious what these wires are for and are they supposed to be connected? If not, what could possibly be the reason for my car throwing the code?
Thanks in advance for any and all help I receive, it is much appreciated.
Can no one go out to their C5 pop this out and take some pictures ......
Sounds a little demanding. Almost like you have an "expectation", or "right" , just by the nature of you asking a question. You need to work on your phrasing if you want help young man.
I can confirm the wiring in question is for the lighting circuit, and should in no way appear like yours on a stock C5.
