Default Need help with HID's and ballast

Hey Guys,
So I picked up a set of ACA housings and 55W HID's from DDM tuning. I thought that putting in the housings would be the hardest part...not so. I followed Patches' install and removed the entire headlight assembly, knocked out those two tall ridges and screwed in the new housing.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I can't get the lows to work. The highs work but not the lows. Below is the picture of the assembly with the ballast:

Ok, so I plug the lows (brown/black) (the connector from the car) into the ballast, the two cylindrical ones plug together...I have two plugs that don't seem to have a place to go. I plug it all in and turn on the car and nothing. I can flash the highs but nothing on the low. I plug the old bulbs into the two connectors from the car and both the low and high works. What am I doing wrong????

Thanks,
Frustrated in Chicago (Les)

GM wires are backwards. Reverse the connector from the wire to the stock connector at the ballast end.

Yup. Flip it 180 degrees so the clip is on the "wrong" side.

Use a wire tie so it stays connected. I cut the wires and reversed them on my truck so it would stay plugged in.

If I'm reading this correctly, the oem connector for the lows (brown/black) those two wires should be switched - the brown where the black was and the black where the brown was? Is that correct?

Also, what is the point of the wire harness that comes with the ACA housing?

As others have said, Reverse the wires, As far as the harness goes, It is to keep all 4 lights on when you go to Highs I believe, I didn't use my harness, I already had a relay wired in.

The other wires will not be used on your car. The lights will fit more than one car.

The "other wire harness" that comes with your ACAs is a battery based relay wiring harness. Your SHOULD use this wire harness rather than the stock wiring as it will insure the correct voltage and amperage to your HIDs. Not using a battery based relay wiring harness is why so many have HID issues after installing them to the OEM wiring.
Look at the extensive ACA install posts by Patches, myself, and many others.

Thanks guys. Reversed those wires and everything worked fine. Hopefully in the next few days I'll get a chance to put the assemblies back on the car.
