I have been getting intermitted error info for the ABS brakes. When I start the car, the yellow lights on the dash stay lite and in the information it says ABS and something else.
I have been told it is a switch that is between $1,100 and $1,600 to replace. (no fixing)
Please let me know if this is correct. fun2day2001@gmail.com
Typically ABS or traction control codes or warnings are ssociated with a fouled wheel speed sensor located at each whhel--broken--dis connected or dirty--Other than that if you recently changed tire sizes that is also a ciaue if you didn't correct the speedo in your ECM--Rarely anything else goes bad---
Well, the good news (depending on what codes you have) is that your car is an 01. 01+ C5's typically get out of these issues a lot cheaper than the earlier ones and in some cases the module can be repaired IF that's your problem.
As stated above, post your DTC codes. Pay particular attention to the ones in the 28-TCS module. Be sure to include the H or C suffix.
