Coming down to the finishing parts of my new twin turbo project and things are not going well. Just installed a new 408 stroker and it will start, but I have no acceleration. And the code " reduced engine power" comes on my display. I checked my throttle body connectors and they are installed correctly. What else could it be? It also idles high " 1300 RPMs"constantly. And also, while it's started and I hook up the batt. Wire to the alternator it sends power to my starter and I dunno if I have the hot wires mixed up on the starter or not.
And another issue is I also installEd a new clutch, flywheel, & throw-out bearing. Bleeded the clutch and have clutch pressure, but while the car is running it will not engage enough the put it in gear. It's a mcloed Borg and deck clutch. Maybe I need an adjustable clutch master cylinder?
Who is tuning this for you? You don't expect it to run with a 408 on a stock tune do you? A vehicle equipped with electronic throttle has an interlock that will fail to "Reduced Engine Power" if more airflow is passing than the ECM is programmed to recognize for a specific throttle position. It's an easy fix using HP Tuner or EFI Live. I strongly suggest you don't push it without getting a proper tune.
