Well i returned from vacation and had a message on my answer machine that my shifter was in :D and to give them a call. So I did that :sad: and was told they sent my shifter to someone else because i did not get back to them fast enough so they thought i did not want it anymore.....I guess the numerous emails I have sent ot them over the past months asking about it did not clue them into my desire to have the shifter let alone that I have waited the past seven months for this and they could not wait a week for a phone call back......Lets see i wait seven months they wait seven day....that some great customer service :mad :cuss :mad :cuss :mad...........Sorry i was on vacation and not home to field your phone call. Besides can some define the word PREORDER i thought that is what i did! and I have numerous emails from Shawn saying they will ship them as soon as they get them..not we will call you and confirm your order when they come in!

But I am happy to know that I am on the top of their list to recieve one when the next shippment comes in which of coarse I was told they would have within the next two weeks.......like i have not heard that a million times since november.

So I will continue to wait until thier next shipment comes in and try not to leave my house in fear of missing my phone ringing

LAPD is shipping per order date first. Then they are checking if you still want the item before they ship. you have to assume they have people backing out because of the time frame involved. :eek:

I thought I saw other vendors have this item in stock. Is the LAPD price that much better?

 

I still believe you won't regret the wait, even though you've had enough pain...waiting. I will not give mine up...period. This is how much I LOVE this shifter! ....Hang in there :cheers:

 

Sorry, but I don't sympathize with you--- you have no right to get pissed at LAPD because YOU weren't available to confirm delivery when they called.
I got a phone call from them asking if one should be sent to me, and I had already gotten one somewhere else-- if they hadn't called, they would have screwed another customer who didn't have one by sending it out to me without confirmation.
Regardless, it's worth the wait-- you'll see :yesnod:

Gandalf- sorry to hear about the confusion- it's a crazy time right now and many have orders in at multiple places, and many other less patient people have bailed to other brands with little communication of that. Please hang in there, LAPD had some problems with a supplier, and didn't receive their fair share of Hursts yet. Proper steps have now been taken, those that have been waiting so long are a top priority on Hurst's list, but it might be early June until the next batch is delivered. As others that have also waited a long time have said, it is well worth the wait, but of course Hurst is sorry the wait is so long. Production is ramping up and by mid-summer there shouldn't be a wait for anyone. But those that have been waiting on LAPD's list should see delivery in early June.
