Driver side window stuck down. How do I remove door panel?
Like the topic says. Window went down, won't go up drivers side. Hit it, slammed it, even cussed it. No help. Need to look inside. What is the best way to get the panel off?
There was a thread here recently with pics-where the screws are and where you can release the Christmas tree attachments to get the panel off but I can't find it. Try searching and see what you can find
Looks like someone was inside this panel before as I found some missing bolts and other evidence that it was not virgin. As the original owner of this car I have no idea when this would have happened. WTF? Anyway took a voltage reading of the motor harness. Anyone know what it should read? Mine was like 4 volts.
I was able to put it all back together, actually better using some extra nuts I had in my stash. Still no luck getting the window up.
Under the handle is a small long plastic cap. Carefully pry it off from the bottom. Two large torx screws under there to remove. Then using the tool of your choice, pull the bottom of the door panel out from the door carefully. There are numerous plastic pins holding it in place. Insure the window is down of course. Once its disconnected from the door, disconnect the connectors for the speaker and door switch.
