Vararam installed, now issues

Don't take this wrong, but if you had installed everything correctly you should not be having this many problems. I am not a fan of the VR Power Duct but even with it the car should at least run. You have missed something, an air leak from a loose connection, didn't plug the MAF sensor wire back in, vaccum hose off, too much oil on the K&N filter and your MAF wires are fouled really bad,,,,something!
Take your time and check every phase of the install and get back to us so we can help. If the car won't run it should be/have throwing/thrown codes.
Just out of curiosity, did your MAF have a screen on it?

I am at a total loss. And I greatly appreciate the help guys.
Check the PCV elbow off the front passenger side of the intake manifold. They rot and break pretty often.

I'll check the PVC elbow when I get home tonight. Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm taking the OEM MAF with me, Just in case!!
Again, thanks for all the help guys. Greatly appreciate it.

Found the culprit to my issue. I was using the stock power duct or bridge intake piece. You know what I'm talking of... where the powerduct and the accordion pieces attach to each other. Well that fitting was so loose, it was sucking in unmetered air. So, I first taped it up,, that did work. but only for a short period of time.
So I ordered a Vararam PD installed it.. and wola.. NO ISSUES!!
I'm stocked!!

I have a 2000 FRC and although it idles smoothly at 750 RPMS, I think it needs to be upper towards 1000 like yours. Like you, I have the normal daily driving "Come to a stop light" dip in RPMs that go so low, the car may stall. How many times have you found yourself revving up the car as you slow down for a light, just to keep it from stalling?
Mine seemed to get worse with hot weather.
Ok, so now that you nailed this culprit, please tell me the part number you urchased from VR? I too have the stock air bridge.
Thanks, and glad you figured it out!!!! Its been annoying me too!!!!
What are your RPMs set at? 1000? Mine were at 1000 but lowered to 750, so I think that has something to do with it as well.
PS: I will be 44 in March too.
