Can someone PLEASE verify the size socket I'm gonna need?
I have read several threads on as may forums and I'm getting sizes such as 1 5/16" 32mm, 33mm.......
WHAT IS THE PROPER SOCKET SIZE?
I'll be replacing upper and lower ball joints, and Hub's along with all of the control arms and knuckles both front and rear.
While I'm at it I'll also be replacing the output shaft seals.
Should I also go as far as replacing the differential side cover o-rings as well ?
If the side cover O rings aren't leaking now - Leave Them Alone!!!
Thanks for the heads up. I haven't torn anything apart yet but from looking at it a while ago while doing some other work I did see a huge mess back there. I'm just afraid of the "What If" after I go through all of the work and the diff. side cover is whats leaking, i'd have to tear everything apart again.
If you have a parts store nearby that loans tools, they probably have an axle nut socket set. The Advance Auto by me had one and there wasn't a 33mm, but hte 34mm socket was fine. Once they're that big, 1mm doesn't make a huge difference.
