Just tried using the Ranger method. My question is before changing the fluid it was almost black with dust in it. After adding new fluid and pumping the clutch pedal about 35 times the fluid still looks brand new. I know there has to be more dirty fluid in there. I even drove it for about 5 mins and rechecked it and the fluid still looks brand new. My question is shouldnt the new fluid mix with whatever is in the lines and show dirty in the resovior after only one change?
Mine wasn't black, but it was a honey/murky colored...with only 3,800 miles on it. I figured it would take a few R&R sessions to clear it out. Nope. One complete change with the turkey baster and about fifty pumps and it was still clear. That was three years ago.

LOL, thanks. I know my luck and nothing ever goes this well.

Unless you are willing to bleed the system, you can't replace all the fluid.
The fluid was REAL bad. I would think it would like nasty again just after a brief drive.
You need to drive it with some hard (high RPM) shifting.
If your fluid was like you discribed, believe me you have several more resevoire change outs coming your way.
Good luck.

You have to bleed the system from the bleed screw located at the slave cylinder in order to replace all of the fluid in the system.

Yes but particles move from areas of high concentration to low concentration, as with fluid and water so you can do a pretty good job if you change it several times.
