I am trying to fix my passenger side window. I got 12.2 volts to the motor but it does not go up or down. The motor feels a little warm but nothing budge. Is it possible to take the motor out without taking the entire a assembly? Your help is greatly appreciated.
Does the entire regulator needs to be removed or can the track be left as is. I just want to remove the motor only and leave the tracks in place. Is this possible to do this? I not how do I go about it? Currently the window is stuck fully closed, does it have to be lowered in order to remove the regulator? I do see four screws, holding the motor to the gear box and I thought the motor can be removed separately.
Try giving it a couple of hard raps on the top of the window, assuming its in the up position, when you simultaneously push the down switch. The commutator winding at the contacts of the motor brushes could have become contaminated from lack of use.

You are right about the lack of use. I bought this 01 last week with only 4,000 miles on it. It is in the up position and I will try your suggestion and thank you.
After taking the door panel off, bang it with a hammer like the video shows.
Or take of just the access cover and bang it HARD with a screwdriver. Your voltage is good. I rebuilt my motor in about an hour. Taking the whole thing out is way easier than it looks.
