Default Vanishing Codes???? What's the deal

I have had “ghost codes” in the past two weeks, is this an indication of things to come?

I have has three separate service soon lights and the following conditions. One time I had the ABS light come on, the second and third time I had a bad shock indication and a maximum speed of 80 mph.

When I had the codes read there were not set. They were not cleared but disappeared after several starts.

Has any one had this type of experience, is there a hidden problem?

It's normal for codes to "disappear" if they do not happen for, I believe, 10 start cycles.

Intermittant codes of all types like you're having usually indicate bad ground connections somewhere. A good C5 tech should be able to tell you where the connections are so you can clean them up (loosen, scrape and re-torque).

Good luck!

Thank You I will check out the grounding points this weekend. It looks like the problems all have the same grounding points.
