I talked with joe today at pro torque and he told me that I wouldn't have to reprogram the computer for the PT2400. If I kept my stock 2.73 gears, if I switch to 3.42 gears then I will have to. Does that sound right. Also would 2.73 gears with a TC be as good as 3.42 gears without a TC. If I could get away from sending my PLII back for reprogram that would be great, and save a $900.00 on the gears. My 1/4 mile is below what would be the gain with just the TC and the same gears.

The only thing you will need to reprogram for is the gears. Everyone I talked to in the process of buying my SY3500 said no reprogramming necessary.
Good luck getting the PowerLoader updated, it may take 6mos+ you better off buying a HPP3. I was in the same boat and got tired of waiting and ordered Ed Wright programing.

Cool. I will problably install the TC first while I wait for the 3.42 gear reprogram for steve cole. I know you guys say 6 months+ but hopefully it wont take that long. :)

So in effect you are willing to pay for the install twice? I'd get the 3.42 and forget the PL. Also the 3.42 and the PT 2400 are not the best combo. You'd want a higher stall with the 3.42. If you were keeping you 2.73 :U then I'd go the 2400.
