My 1998 automatic coupe has me baffled. When I start it up, it reads out....please turn off car and restart engine after 10 seconds or something like that. When I follow the instructions, and restart the car, I put it in gear to drive off and the car immediately cuts off kinda like it's out of gas.
Anyone out there know what the heck this is and if it is a sensor or some kind of control module, how much does it cost to replace it or should I try to find a used one, or one on ebay? I welcome all thoughts from anyone with with an idea.....LOL
Sincerely,
John
P.S. It has 49,800 miles on it. I am the original owner. I can rev the crap out of the engine in park, but once I go into drive, and take my foot off the brake.....nada.
This is from the list just above these posts that says please read before you post. There are thousands of others about it and it would be much faster and easier if you search "column lock" than to type it all out again. And the warning is "pull key and wait ten seconds". You can also search those words and come up with how to fix.
