I have a 2002 Corvette with long tube headers, x pipe, axle back, hi flow cats, and cold air intake. I recently dyno tune the car and was told that it cant be fully tune because the of some random misfires. I am expiriencing popping noises when accelarating quickly and at high RPM. The popping noise makes the car slugish and rough to ride. About a year ago I changed the spark plugs into NGK TR55 and granatelli wires with boots. My tuner tells me that the mechanical problems can be due to bad spark plugs, blaster coils, or ignition module. Does this sound correct? Help me. Thank you very much!!!
Pull the codes? I had P0300 and P0153.
My tuner eliminated those codes.
I can see why he may have turned p0153 off but as long as you have your rear sensors in that place they should be fine but I see no reason at all why the p0300 code was turned off as that detects misfire and you should get a flashing CEL when that happens.
Did you pull the codes via the DIC?
I only have 2 oxygen sensors which are the one's before the cats (new ones too). The one's after the cats are eliminated. And yes, the codes were retrieved from the DIC.
