Installed a set of XSPower Catbacks yesterday. Even my muffler guy said they were very well built. He especially commented on the welds. They sound very good with no drone at highway speeds. They are very loud at WOT.
I was going to install them on jack stands but when a muffler guy about a mile from me said he would do it for $ 60.00 I decided to let him. He has a lift. He let me come back and watch the install which only took about 30 min.
Well, I know what their headers are a replica of but I didn't buy headers. Who did they copy their Catbacks from since the unnamed company doesn't make Catbacks?
They kind of look like a replica of the stock exhaust system just with better sound.

Got them on my car. Don't know about knockoff, but sound is GREAT! They are well built and beautifully finished. I get a lot of comments on the sound. WOT sounds fantastic!

Whats your opinion on the Drone or lack of, and how was the installation., Thanks
I don't really see how they can be a knock off. Building a system similar to the factory makes it a pretty generic design and they don't sound like any other catback I've heard either.
They don't drone and they are loud at WOT. The install was easy but I did buy my own clamps because the ones supplied were light duty and just wouldn't tighten enough to keep the mufflers from moving on the over axle pipe.

Can you give me a dealer name. Gonna order them right away. Good price and good reviews. Thanks again.

As stated above, go ahead and get you a couple of 2 1/2" X 3/8" U-bolts because the U-bolts that come with the kit will not keep the tips from slipping out of alignment. I tried to torque them down and pulled the threads on one of them. Thought I was going to have to cut it off.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-p...iday-sale.html[/QUOTE I really like the look and sound of the xspower. I noticed that they enter the muffler on the same side as they exit. Where as with the Borla for instance they exit opposite the entrance side. Shouldn't that allow more flow without restriction. Just curious. Also what does everybody think about performance with the xspower. Thanks, Just shopping.
If you haven't seen my videos already from previous threads, I have a couple in my sig that capture the sound halfway decently. I really like the XSPower 2.5" catback, best system I've personally heard especially taking the price and lack of drone into consideration.
