I went out to the drags last night. I don't drag race much but it was a nice night and I just took my car out of storage so thought I would take it out and play. I got 9 runs in till I got boored and left. Oh BTW it's a c-5 2000 FRC with a LS-6 engine. I run with the traction control off. There was a lot of wheel spin in the begining as I started with my Road Race tire presure of 35psi. Toward the end I got it down to 24 psi and things worked better.
Anyway, on the way home just driving along at 55mph in 6th gear it started to feel slugish. Like I was going up a hill. I gave it some more throttle but it did not seem to feel any stronger. Then the DIC flashed
"traction control engaged". I hit the off button and the car surged forward and ran smoothly. I was still some distance from home so I was good and carefully drove home with the traction control still in the off position. About 1/2 mile form home I turned it on to see what would happen. At this point I was doing about 45 mph. Well nothing happened, everything was fine.
This morning I went looking for codes. A2side from the Daytime run lights and backup light codes and some historic codes about communication errors, there was one new code but not in theTCS section. It is 2120 H,C. in the Remote Function Actuation section. " says "TPM System Malfunction (No Sensors Received)"
So I don't know why it came on or what the above code means if anything.
check the connections on the wheel sensors on the in board side of the wheel. Probably vibrated loose from the drag. Reset the codes and see if that fixes it. Good Luck

Ok but is 2120 a code I wound get relating to a traction control problem?
C2120 shouldn't cause any issues with traction control on a C5. I ran track wheels and tires without sensors on both of my C5s and never had an issue with any of the EBCM functions due to not having sensors. I would get the warning on the DIC, hit reset and go about my business. You didn't mention your front and rear tire sizes so if you were running track tires they may be closer to the same diameter than stock tires would be. Lowering the pressure in the rear would have given you a shorter radius on the rear wheels which would have made them seem like they were spinning faster. A rear tire closer to the front tire diameter than stock along with a shorter radius due to low pressure and you could have easily triggered the traction control. On my 03 I had the same diameter track tires front and rear and when I was driving with TC on I never had a problem. Others with the same setup would get it to trigger after driving some number of miles. Based on those observations I think there is some variation from EBCM to EBCM so yours could be more sensitive than somebody elses. I do know the EBCMs on both my 97 and 03 would instantly trigger TC if I put smaller diameter tires in the rear than in the front. The cars wouldn't even coast down hill in neutral without turning off TC.

Obviously, I agree.
Raise your rear tire pressure and see what happens.
Cleared the codes put 35lbs of air in tires went for a ride and all was well.
Since this is not a DD and there is no snow in FL was thinking of just disabling the systems.
Could I just pull a fuse? If so which one . I looked and thinkn#23(power train control module) or #41(selective ride time). Any thoughts?
