Default Need quick help tracing a vacuum line....

Anybody know where the small vacuum line on the back of the intake manifold on the passenger side leads to? I recently removed my AIR/EGR system and want to make sure that I have any remaining ports/lines properly capped off.

Thanks

The only small vacuum line on the intake manifold(back) I'm familiar with goes to the vacuum reservoir aft of the PCM.....on the firewall.

I apologize for the crappy image, but Im talking about the black port, in this picture on the bottom left on the back of the intake on what would be the passenger side with the intake installed.

Thanks

It's for your vacuum supply for your HVAC damper doors (also called vacuum motors).

Do yourself a favor if you have the manifold off and extend that line about 6-8 inches. You'll thank me later.

Couldn't agree more Kev. That's one of the easiest and cheapest mods anyone can make anytime they remove their intake manifold. As a matter of fact, I think folks like FAST should just include the necessary pieces with their manifold, or at least offer it as an option for a couple bucks.
