Well, I hadn't read this thread for a while. All I know is I put in a new set of Autolite double platinums and wires. They were gapped at a tight .060 out of the box and I had no reason to change that since I had no knowledge of this bullitin. That's why I asked the question.
If you want to look at Autolite's application catalog on-line, go here and look up your car. I just looked for a 2002 Z06, and they show all their plugs gapped at 0.040".

How long ago was that? I just looked at an Autolight spark plug application book a few days ago, and it showed all their plugs at 0.040" gap in the book. Maybe you got some old stock (?).

It was a few weeks ago. Got them and the wires from Rock Auto. I wasn't intending to argue just that is what I got. Like you say, could be old stock.
