I just changed the wiper motor on my 1999. It works on hi and low but when I put it on intermediate the wipers stop in the up position. Is there an adjustment for this?
Well, this thread inspired me to take it apart and see, read a write up with pics from another forum, did what they said, and now it's worse.
What it does now is, it still has the wiper blades pause near the top of the stroke on "intermediate" like it was doing before.
Also, now the wiper blades do not park on the park nubs.
The article mentioned something about "If your park pin is not being released, it is most likely that the park stop has been bent and the parking pawl is not hitting it"
It's looks like when you have it on intermediate or delay (whatever it's called) the wipers don't go all the way down to the parking nubs, but about a inch or so above them, can someone here confirm if that's the way it's supposed to be?
I did get it to go back down on the parking nubs when turned off!
That circle thing was out of sinc, and when you turn the wipers off, the circle thing and motor stop running clockwise, then go counter clockwise, until the parking pawl hits the park stop, and that's where the wipers rest.
Now, maybe I missed it in the instructions, but when he says to pull the pin back with a screwdriver and turn the round thing counter clockwise, you have to take out the torx screw that bolts the round thing to the wiper motor, pop up the round thing, then you can spin it.
I tried while it was on the wiper motor, and could only get it to turn a tad.

When on delay they stay up a bit. Once you turn them of they are supposed to park and lay on the cowl nubs.
I just about never drive the Vette in the rain anymore, so I forgot how exactly they worked!
By the way, anyone seen the movie "A Flash of Genius"?
Pretty good movie about the guy who invented the intermediate feature so people did'nt have to play with the wiper switch when light rains.
He takes his idea to Ford, wanting to manufacture the special wipers and sell them to Ford, but they steal it from him, he has to fight for years to finally get to court.
