Default Help with Piston & Rods recommendation

Hi
I am currently going to be rebuilding an LS1 and would like some recommendations for pistons and conrods, I am newbe to the LS world.

I would like better than the average performance without going to a stroker package.

- LS1 to be fitted in to my 1954 Corvette.
-C5 pedals, Brakes, front suspension.

From Australia

What is your definition of "better than average?" The OEM short block can handle in he vicinity of 450 rwhp without too much degradion in reliability.
