Default Half shaft removal

I'm trying to replace my driver side half shaft. I have tried the pd penetrating oil but the shaft will not slide out of the splined bearing. Tap, tap,tap not working. Any ideas? Thanks Brian

Use a prybar to carefully pop the axle out of the differential. Then with the axle nut loose use a block of wood and a hammer to knock the axle out of the wheel bearing. Sometimes the axles come out easy and other times require a little extra force.

Air chisel with a blunted tool installed works like magic.

Default Half shaft

I got it. I took the rotor off and attached a 3 jaw puller to hte hub edges and drove the center bolt on to the top of the axel. Worked like a charm , but man it was in there.
I love this forum. Merry Christmas
