Tire and tuner decisions
Hey everyone. The time has come to make a few mods to the car. Background, car is a 99C5, lots of miles. Has straight pipes(no cats) a vararam intake, home ported TB, coolant line bypass and a 160 thermostat. Last week at Royal purple the car ran a best of 12.922@108 with a 1.975 60'. DA was -750 on balding run flats. Backed up with a series of 13.03 runs. After planning out my days off next year I will be able to make 3 bracket points races and the Super Chevy show. I was hoping to do a stall and gears this year but work and an offroad project wont allow for it. I live a few miles from the track and the car is seldom driven anywear else. What would be the best Drag Radial to replace the runflats with? I am running 18' 5 spoke rims from an 04 C5. I like the MT's but at 350 a pop kinda pricey. Also what tuner would you run? I would love HP Tuners as I like to play with the settings but with tires and a tune being the only mods for the year would I be better off just getting a predator for the time being? What kind of ET drop should I expect from the tires and tune? Not expecting alot since it dosent matter in Bracket and the car is running very consistant, just curious. Any openions are appriciated.

I just put some of the 305/35-18 ET Street Radial II's on the back of mine, and have outstanding traction on the street now. Haven't made it to the track yet, but plan on it when they open back up again in January.
For what you have done to the car, you could probably get away with one of the mail order tunes. If you plan on ever doing more, it would be beneficial to go with HP Tuners so you can readily update as needed.
