I am installing 2011 C6Z06 Shocks on my '99 coupe w/the F45 option. I pulled the old shock out and am putting in the new one, but I don't know if I need to reuse the old washers/rubber?
The new C6Z06 shocks also have a large rubber piece at the top that doesn't fit if I leave in the old rubber/washers.
Any advise? Do I just pull out the old rubber, but reuse the old metal washers? Thanks in advance!
Pull the rubber bushing out of that bracket and re-use the rubber piece from the top and the top metal washer and the nut. Once you pull the rubber bushing out you'll see how it is 2 pieces with one piece that looks like then new part on the new shock and another rubber ring that fits over that piece.
