Default Z06 Tire Advice

All,

2002 C5 Z06.

I have a rear set of like new BFG KDW2's - 295/35-18.

They don't make a 265 front in the KDW, have to run a 255 or 275.

The 255 has a 25.2 RD, the 275 has a 25.7 RD, stock is 25.4.

Anyone run either size with a 295 rear? I'm concerned it my cause an issue with the Traction Control or ABS.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt

Why not just get a different tire? You're not rotating them so there's no reason to have the same tire front and back.

With your rear (295/35-18) you will have a 26.1 diameter, so the 255/40-17 front (25.0 diameter) should work as it is at least .5 smaller diameter than the rear. The 275/40-17 front (25.7) will be close to the threshold but may work as it will be within .1 of the recommended rake. I am assuming you are running 17/18 wheels. Others with these combinations will probably chime in with real world experience as well.

Thanks all. Yes, they're factory 17/18 Speedlines. I'm not a huge fan of the aggressive front offset so I'm thinking the 255 may look better as it will sit slightly inboard of the factory 265. I don't think many people run the 255 though. The 275 seems to be the popular fitment.
